“Night Walker” is yet another Shadow Spy Adventure by the ace writer Madhubabu.
Dr. Mahendranath, a scientist in the Defense laboratory at Kolkata is different from the regular scientists who experiments with bombs and explosives etc. Unlike his colleagues, he carries on his research on human body, and on the nervous system. He invents a nerve gas which spoils the nervous system in human body and the person whoever inhales the gas, becomes a dullard and useless fellow.
He wanted to furnish the gas formula to the military officers. But before doing so, he goes missing. Sensing the danger of the formula being grabbed by enemies or anti-social elements, the Government orders special branch to trace Dr. Mahendranath and recover the formula.
At the same time, the CIB was given responsibility to find out the reasons why the Chinese Military Intelligence Officer Yang Chi was located at Indian borders.
Is there any connection between Mahendranath’s missing and locating Yang Chi at the borders of Assam? Who was responsible for the 3rd block in the Defense Laboratory to be engulfed in the fire? Whose photos are those which Shadow found in the secret locker in the room of Mahendranath? Is Mahendranath hiding on own or was he kidnapped? Is there any foreign hand in this matter? Why the special branch agents tortured Shadow? How Shadow escaped from them? How could Shadow get the formula of nerve gas that threatened entire country?
All these questions can be answered by this engaging novel.
